This was the middle of the three weekends of the Ottawa Tulip Festival, and the flowers were at their best, even though the weather did not cooperate. Don and I parked at Dow's Lake and walked through Commissioners Park (?) amongst a very international crowd of people admiring the tulips. I liked a dark pink variety called "
Mounties".You can see that it is a bit chilly!
On Sunday, Brendan and Amie took me to an excellent brunch at the Courtyard Restaurant which is in the Byward Market. Afterwards we walked through the market admiring the flowers.
I bought some fiddleheads and fresh fish for our supper.
